Earth, Wind & Fire (EWF) has been a staple in the music industry in America for decades. The band has blended or worked in various genres over the years, including jazz, funk, and R&B. With worldwide sales of more than 90 million albums, it is one of the highest-selling groups ever.
EWF was founded by Maurice White in Chicago, in 1969, after working with the Salty Peppers. Most bands with a long history have had multiple lineups, and EWF is no exception. Among the musicians who have played with this band are Philp Bailey, Larry Dunn, Al McKay, and Verdine White. EWF has won notice for its powerful horn section, energetic live performances, and kalimba sound.
Having won the American Music Awards four times, and six Grammys, EWF is a member of several honorary organizations, including the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. There is a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame with their name.
A review says:
“Even though the band was formed almost 50 years ago, they proved that age is just a number. They’ve still got the moves, the wardrobe, and the music to get people movin’.”
Earth, Wind & Fire will be at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park on June 18. When concerts like this are planned, organizers can use poster printing to create fantastic advertising.
