Golf course with a difference in San Diego

Petco Park in San Diego will host an unusual event soon that will bring golfers to the baseball stadium.

The Links at Petco Park is presented by Callaway, and puts a nine-hole golf course inside the ballpark, with greens and holes placed throughout the facility. A putting green might be found in a dugout, for instance, and the upper deck might be the place where golfers can find tees. Each hole will have a different theme.

The Links is now in its sixth year, and the 2020 experience will be the longest to date. It will also be the first time guests have been inside the stadium since March, and it is anticipated as many as 6,000 golfers may take part.

The course will feature signature holes from past events, such as one at home plate, along with new ones, and a chance to win prizes. A dedicated caddy will accompany each golfer throughout their entire time on the course. In addition, Callaway will provide two clubs to each player, which they will use for the length of their round. Afterwards, they will be able to visit the Western Metal Rooftop, which will be made over into a Callaway clubhouse for the event, with refreshments and souvenirs available for purchase.

The Links at Petco Park begins November 5 and runs through November 18. Tickets are $85 per player; spectators' tickets are $5. Banner printing can be used to provide signage for outdoor events like this.
