What's Happening in San Diego - Downtown, CA…

Classic rock band coming to San Diego

One of the best-selling rock bands in history is coming to Chicago.

In Los Angeles in 1971, a group got together that went on to win five American Music Awards, six Grammys, and put six albums and five singles into the number one spot on the charts. The original line-up of The Eagles included some of music’s greatest names. The founders were Glenn Frey, who handled vocals and the guitar; Don Henley, vocalist and drummer; Randy Meisner, on bass guitar and vocals; and guitarist Bernie Leadon, who also handled vocals.

The released “Eagles,” their debut album, in 1972, and two of its tracks, “Witchy Woman” and “Take It Easy” hit the Top 20. Their 1975 album “One of These Nights” was a huge success, going to No. 1 in the United States, and charting in the top 10 throughout the world. The title track was a hit that went to the top spot, and “Take It to the Limit” and “Lyin’ Eyes” both made it into the Top 5. Their biggest hit, the iconic “Hotel California,” appeared on the album of the same name in 1976. They have continued to record and tour to this day.

A review says:

“Awesome night in the presence of pure music legends.”

The Eagles will be at the Pachanga Arena on Friday, March 3. Events like this can be advertised successfully when organizers use poster printing to announce them.
