In the 1990s, Matchbox Twenty dropped tunes like “Real World,” “3am,” and “Push,” winning them international stardom. They debuted in 1996 with the album “Yourself or Someone Like You,” which went Platinum in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. In 2000, they dropped their second album, “Mad Season,” which the RIAA certified in the United States as 4x Platinum. After a hiatus, the band reunited and went into the studio to record “North,” which they released in 2012. The record was a success, climbing to the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
Thus far, the band has released a total of four studio albums, a compilation album, one box set, three video albums, two EPs, 21 singles, and 20 music videos. Their latest album, “Where the Light Goes,” is due for release this year.
A review of the band in performance says:
“Always loved Matchbox 20 and Rob Thomas, but never expected to see a show quite like this. High energy, amazing talent and great venue.”
Matchbox Twenty will be in San Diego on May 30 at 7:30 at the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theater at SDSU. When events like this are planned, organizers can promote them by using poster printing to create advertising.
