San Clemente has announced that it will be hosting a Battle of the Bands Concert next month.
The event – designed for teenagers – will have a variety of amenities. In addition to the music, attendees can play games, including video games, and eat. Audience members will be able to attend and take home a variety of Promotional Products from event sponsors.
Middle School bands from across San Clemente are being encouraged by event organizers to attend and register for the event. Bands will be able to play for up to 15 minutes and are being asked to bring their own equipment. Scores will be based on a variety of criteria, including audience support, evidence of rehearsals, lyrics, instrumentation, originality, and overall look.

One person is needed to register for each band. Bands are also asked to be prepared to set up and tear down their own equipment.
The event is open to the community for both registration and audience attendance. Event organizers have promised “special judges” who will be announced the day of the event.
The event will be held on February 17 at 5:30 pm. It will be held at the Vista Hermosa Sports Park, located at 987 Avenida Visa Hermosa.
