San Clemente’s Ole Hanson Beach Club is hosting a string quartet concert this month.
As part of the City of San Clemente’s Symphony on the Go program, the show is made possible via a mobile concert vehicle, making it able to be set up at a variety of venues across the community.
The artists include leader Cheryl Gates on the viola, violinists Ann Tenney and Yen Ping Lai, and Emma Lee on the cello.
While food and beverages will be available for purchase, people are also allowed to bring their own food, lawn chairs, and blankets.
The song list includes classical staples like Bach, Mozart, and Claude Debussy. However, there will also be more modern numbers in the mix, including John Williams’ music from “Star Wars,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” and “Jurassic Park,” the score of “Princess Mononoke” by Joe Hisaishi, and the theme song for “Legends of the Fall” by James Horner. Modern pop artists like The Beatles, John Legend, and Elton John will also be mixed into the song list.
Outdoor concerts like this may choose to use banner printing to create vendor Signs, marquees and seating area signs.
Symphony on the Go is happening on August 28 at 6:00 pm, with food and drink sales starting at 4:00 pm at the Ole Hanson Beach Club at 105 W Avenida Pico in San Clemente.
