The Christmas season is upon us and it will soon be time for the traditional Santa’s Village by the Sea. The evening event will have three components.
To start the evening, the mayor will be speaking at the Tree Lighting Ceremony at City Hall.
Also at that time, Christmas at the Casa (Romantica) will be starting. This event will be replete with Dickens-themed carolers who will be singing traditional Christmas carols along with other holiday entertainment. Santa will be arriving to discuss each child’s Christmas list, and kids will get to make crafts. For those little ones who miss Santa’s arrival, there will be a station for them to write letter to him. All guests will be invited to eat holiday cookies and drink hot chocolate.
At the Del Mar Glitz and Santa’s Village, kids can go sledding down a snow hill, play holiday games, decorate cookies, and watch an outdoor movie. There will be train rides, Cinderella’s Carriage rides, and live holiday music. Guests will want to stop by the Hot Cocoa Factory for a hot beverage. Pictures taken with Santa will make their way into this year’s Holiday Cards.
All of these events will be on Saturday, December 2. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will be at 5:00 pm, Christmas at the Casa will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, and Del Mar Glitz and Santa’s Village at the Community Center will run from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
