San Clemente dines out

To encourage California residents to eat locally, January has been designated as Visit California’s Restaurant Month. San Clemente foodies will have plenty of options to enjoy meals in nearby communities.

This year, Visit Dana Point, and the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center are joining the organizers to present Dana Point Restaurant Week. Local restaurants will have Menus with special themes. They will include signature cocktails, local fare, special seasonings, and special pricing. A social media raffle will have people submitting photos of their meals at participating restaurants.

Participating restaurants need to get their menus and pricings to the organizers before the flyer printing and poster printing.

Huntington Beach will also have its Surf City Dine Week soon. It will be hosted by the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce and Surf City Dine Week committee. Many of the area’s 350 restaurants will be participating. Menus will be fixed. Lunches will be $11, $16, and $21, while dinners will be $21, $31, and $41. Bracken’s Kitchen will receive $1 per meal.

Both Dana Point and Huntington Beach restaurants will also be participating in the Orange County Restaurant Week from March 3 to 9. Some participating eateries will be 25 Degrees, Big Catch Seafood in Huntington Beach and Bourbon Steak Orange County, and Coastal Kitchen in Dana Point.

Dana Point’s Restaurant Week is slated for January 20 through 26. Surf City Dine Week will be January 21 through 27.
