San Clemente celebrates holidays with boat parade

There is still time for boat enthusiasts to see the upcoming 43rd Superhero Holiday in the Harbor and the Holiday Boat Parade of Lights. The event still has its last two shows coming in a few days.

Family-oriented activities will precede the parade. Some of these will include carolers, crafts, games, and meeting superheroes. San Clemente parents will be bringing their phones and cameras for pictures of their kids with Santa. Many will no doubt be getting the photos made into 2018 family Calendars and personalized Stationery.

Boat rides along the parade route will be available during the parade. Kids can cast their votes for their favorite boats for the Dana Wharf Kids’ Cup Trophy.

Free trolley rides will be available from Doheny State Beach to the parade, and the trolleys will be picking up and dropping off passengers along Dana Point Harbor Drive.

The Holiday in the Harbor and Boat Parade of Lights will be today and tomorrow at Dana Point Harbor, 34623 Golden Lantern Street, Dana Point. Starting times for the family activities will be 4:30 and closing will be at 9:00 pm. The boat parades will begin in the Restaurants and Shops Area at 7:30 pm weather permitting. Santa will be available from 4:30 until 7:30 pm in the Restaurant and Shops area, and trolleys will be in operation from 3:30 until 10:30 pm both days.
