The students of Saddleback College will be holding a Dog Fair this week.
Dogs and owners will be arriving on campus for the Dog Walk which will open the event. Dog competitions will be for Best Ears, Tail Wagger, Trick, and Costume.
Presentations will be from Guide Dogs of America, the USMC K-9s, and the OC Sheriff K-9s. Veteran Trainers will be having training demonstrations and veterinarians will be available for questions. There will also be dog grooming tips and a demo on how to brush a dog’s teeth.
Information tables will have students discussing and passing out information about horticulture, health science, legal studies, and anthropology, as well as a student entrepreneurship table that will have dog accessories for sale.
San Clemente dog owners can get pictures taken of their canines. Many will want to take these pictures to printing companies to be made into Calendars or for Stationery printing.
There will also be a Dog Kissing Booth. Local businesses such as dog trainers, boutiques, groomers and doggie day camps will have booths to pass out Flyers and demonstrate and sell their goods and services.
Local shelters and rescues will have dogs seeking forever homes. Proceeds from the event will go to support these programs.
The event will be from 7:30 am until 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 27 at the Business/General Studies Building at Saddleback College, 28000 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo.
