Casa Classic, a music series presenting modern and traditional classical experiences, will be featuring cellist Paul Wiancko at the end of January.
Wiancko has performed with many well-known artists. Some of these were Yo-Yo Ma, Midori, Joe Crocker, Etta James, and Johann Johannsson. He has performed as a soloist in Europe, South Africa, Japan, South and Central America and throughout the United States. Along with his solo performances, Wiancko tours with the East Coast Chamber Orchestra, Chick Corea and the American Contemporary Music Ensemble.
Paul also adds “composer” to his Business Cards. He has created works for Met soprano Susanna Phillips, the Parker Quartet, and the Aizuri Quartet. One of his latest works is a solo piano work about new Mars Exploration for Peter Smith, NASA’s Phoenix mission principal investigator.
Casa Classic performances range from chamber choirs and instrumental recitals to Broadway performance and opera. March will have an Evening with Actor Ivan Rutherford who is best known for his role as Jean Valjean in Broadway’s “Les Miserables”. The last program of the series will be in May and the performance will be the Mt. San Antonio College Singers.
Mr. Wiancko’s concert is slated for Thursday, January 26th, 2017 at Casa Romantica, 415 Avenida Granada, San Clemente. The performance will begin at 7:00 pm. General admission tickets will run $25.
