Those fond of a bowl of chowder should mark their calendar, as the San Clemente Chamber of Congress is about to invite all San Clemente seafood lovers to its 27th San Clemente Seafest.
A clam chowder cook-off will feature favorite recipes for the dish, concocted by the area’s restaurants, businesses, and individuals. Teams will compete in Best Individual and Best Restaurant categories, and there will be a Judges’ Favorite Chowder winner as well. Booths and costumes will also be judged by a panel of judges and the public. Fisherman’s Restaurant will be serving lobster, crab, oysters, clams, and mussels on the pier too.
Other activities will include the 17th annual Surf Competition for amateur children and teens surfers, an Arts and Crafts show of handmade items made by Southern California artists, and a children’s arts and crafts area that will offer beadwork stations. Contests for teens and children will include Costco Diaper Derby, Tortilla Toss, and a bubble gum blowing competition. Also during the day, the U.S. Coast Guard will have search and rescue demonstrations.
The business exposition is limited to San Clemente Chamber of Commerce members, but marketing spaces will be available to any local businesses. Company representatives should remember to bring digital Business Cards for exchanging.
The Seafest will be held at the San Clemente pier on October 5, from 9:30 am till 3:00 pm.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
