Chamber of Commerce hosts a San Clemente tradition

For the 62nd year, the San Clemente Chamber of Commerce will be presenting the San Clemente Fiesta Music Street Festival.

Comprising three stages of continuous live entertainment, the event will be free and no fewer than 45 nonprofit local service organizations use the festival as an annual fundraiser. They will provide international food, games, and refreshment booths.

Some of the contests will include pie eating, hula hooping, ice cream eating, tortilla tossing, jump roping, egg hunting, and piñata bashing. Local restaurants and individuals will vie for prizes and bragging rights in the Salsa Challenge. Original merchandise and hand crafts will be exhibited at the Arts and Crafts Show, which local businesses will be showcasing their goods and services at the Business Expo.

One of the exhibits will be a display of vehicles and information about the U.S. Navy. Others will be the Pet Project Foundation, San Diego Gas and Electric, and the O.C. Sheriff’s Department Drug Education.

Also this year will be the Fiesta Action Sports Expo, a beach lifestyle and action sports tradeshow. This will be a venue in which manufactures and buyers in the action sports industry can network, meet, exchange ideas, buy, and sell. Representatives for all businesses will want to remember their digital Business Cards.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, August 9, from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm between the 100 and 200 block of Avenida Del Mar, San Clemente.
