Casa Romantica to hold Spring Break Arts Week

The Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens will hold a “Spring Break Arts Week” soon. San Clemente parents are encouraged to sign their children up for events.

Throughout the week, Casa Romantica will hold various artistic events relating to film, music, and dance. The first activity is on Tuesday and will feature Charlie Chaplin’s The Kid. On Wednesday, an orchestra will play music from Dvorak and Mozart. This concert will be performed live and will take place outside.

On Thursday, a local professor will give a lesson on jazz dance and its place in American history. Organizers recommend this class for students planning on majoring in dance. For Friday, Casa Romantica will host a “Family Members Night,” which will include games, crafts, movies, and pizza. Sunday is the last day of the Arts Week and will feature a pop-up shop of local artists and craftsmen. Banner printing is often used to direct entrants towards vendors they may be interested in.

The arts week starts on April 6 and will end on April 11. Registration is free for each event except the orchestra performance and Family Members Night. The musical performance is $40 for non-members, $35 for members, and $1 for children aged 6 to 16. A fee of $25 is required for the Family Night, but it is free for members.
