All San Clemente dogs and their families are invited to attend the upcoming second annual Woofstock.
This event is touted as ‘People and Paws for our State Parks’. Proceeds will help both the environment and pets by benefiting the San Onofre Parks Foundation and the Pet Project Foundation.
Some activities to look forward to will be dog and owner costume contests, a Dog Parade, canine games and Halloween-themed photo opportunities likely to be suitable for later poster printing.
There will also be food, live entertainment and raffles. Pet-related organizations and businesses will be manning booths and handing out freebies. Dog Adoption agencies, Animal Rescue groups and K-9 demos, will be on hand too.
Trainer advice booths will be available for any dog-related questions. Children can have their faces painted and participate in other kid-oriented activities.
Pre-paid admission tickets are $20 per pet family and regular tickets at the door will be $25. Each ticket will include one Woofstock official T-shirt, a doggie bandana, a punch card for sponsors’ gifts and samples, and a Woofstock goodie bag containing discounts and giveaways. Additional shirts are $10 each.
The doggie event will be held Sunday, October 26, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at the San Clemente State Beach Campground and Nature Area, 225 Avenida Califia, San Clemente. Free parking at the nearby Concordia Elementary School will be just a dog stroll away.
