Annual Seafest comes to San Clemente in October

Over 5,000 San Clemente festival lovers will be heading out to the 33rd annual San Clemente Seafest in early October. The event is sponsored by San Clemente Chamber of Commerce.

The event will hold a Street Taco Challenge and offer Fisherman’s Lobster for purchase. The Main Stage will offer performances by local talent.

Local businesses will have an exposition where festival attendees can learn about goods, services, and brands available in the San Clemente area. Representatives that man booths at events such as this often get brochure printing done beforehand so they can have advertising material and Business Cards available to display, along with items and services to sell.

This year will mark the 23rd annual CATALYST Surf Classic competition at Seafest. Awards will be handed out for first, second, and third place.

A kids’ area featuring free arts and crafts will keep the younger set occupied. The event will have various contests for both kids and teens. Some of these will include tortilla tossing, jumping rope, and hula hooping.

An Arts and Crafts show will have local artists and craftspeople displaying and selling their original work.

The U.S. Coast Guard will be sending one of it its U.S. Coast Guard Search and Rescue squads to present demonstrations.

San Clemente Seafest will take place at the San Clemente Pier, 622 Avenida Del Mar from about noon until midnight on October 4.
