This means that customers can expect to start receiving monthly bills as of this month, instead of bimonthly as had previously been the case. To ensure a smooth transition, the city is offering resources and information to help all utility customers understand and anticipate the changes associated with the new billing process.
Mayor Samantha Rodriguez backed the project with a statement that said:
“We are thrilled to offer our utility customers a more efficient process through online monthly billing. Our goal is to have customers experience a simple and consistent process when managing their bills.”
News of changes like this is often circulated through the mail on letters bearing company Letterheads.
The last bimonthly invoice for water and sewer usage, covering April and May, will be issued as the June 2023 bill. However customers can expect to receive their first monthly bill in the next few days if they have not already, which will account for their utility usage in June. Moving forward, the due date for monthly utility bills will be the fifth day of every month. In cases where the fifth falls on a holiday or weekend, the bill's due date will be on the following business day..
