Award-winning journalist hosts lecture in Rohnert Park

Rohnert Park is hosting a lecture event by journalist Amy Goodman at Sonoma State University this April.

Goodman is the cofounder of Democracy Now!, an award-winning news show that has been syndicated on over 1400 public radio and TV stations across the United States. It also airs around the world.

The independent news program is cohosted by Juan Gonzalez, with reporting that includes both in-depth, front-line interviews and breaking news reports on a daily basis.

With millions of viewers tuning in online and on air, Democracy Now! is broadcast in both Spanish and English in the U.S., Canada, Central and South America and Europe.

Founded in 1996, the audience-supported show relies on donations from viewers, rather than corporate or government sponsorship, ensuring editorial independence.

Goodman is also co-author of several Books that became New York Times bestsellers, with the newest one being Democracy Now!: Twenty Years Covering the Movements Changing America, a retrospective on the program since its inception.

Tickets are $31 for general admission and free for SSU faculty, students and staff.

Lecture events like this may choose to use printing services to create samples of literature for handouts, audience programs and Flyers.

Amy Goodman’s lecture will be on April 7 at 7:30 pm at the Weill Hall at the Green Music Center at Sonoma State University at 1801 East Cotati Avenue in Rohnert Park.
