Partnership confirmed between Persistent and MartinUAV

On July 18, Persistent Systems, LLC announced the start of a new partnership with MartinUAV, LLC, which has headquarters in Rohnert Park.

The partnership will last for five years, during which MartinUAV plans to incorporate Persistent's Wave Relay communications technology into its V-BAT unmanned aerial vehicles.

According the Persistent Systems Vice President of Business Development, Louis Sutherland, Persistent is excited that it stood out to MartinUAV among other datalink companies. MartinUAV is happy to utilize Persistent's Mobile Ad Hock Network (MANET) technology into its vertical takeoff-and-land (VTOL) UAVs, letting them connect with other Wave Relay-enabled UAVs.

The vehicles of MartinUAV are utilized for military operations requiring small launch and landing areas, large payloads, and long range. The airborne network relay allows for increased V-BAT range and communication performance, while Persistent's Embedded Module allows for rapid switching between RF bands

Persistent Systems, LLC, headquartered in New York City, manages the globally available MANET system, which includes Wave Relay for data transmissions under difficult circumstances and conditions. The company has a wide range of products for commercial, military, robotics, and agricultural markets

MartinUAV also has offices in Santa Clara, as well as Plano, Texas. It manufactures unmanned aircraft and accompanied flight control software. The V-BAT series is a single-engine VTOL capable of more than eight hours of horizontal flight.
