SOMO Village will be the place to be to enjoy a dinner provided by Heirloom Café, with music including “King Dream,” a project by Jeremy Lyon, and Kingsborough. The dinner will be socially distanced, diners will be masked except when eating, and being outdoors adds an additional layer of safety. People who want to sit together must purchase tickets as a group. Poster printing is frequently used to advertise events like this.
Jeremy Lyon, who created “King Dream,” a rock project, began playing guitar when he was seven, and start writing songs shortly thereafter. He co-founded Tumbleweed Wanderers, a folk-rock band, and toured with them for five years, 2011-2016. Lyon’s material touches universal themes such as social issues, adulthood, and disillusionment. Above all, he celebrates the fact that with all that is wrong, there is still much that is good.
The San Francisco group Kingsborough cite Led Zeppelin, the Black Keys, and the Beatles as their inspiration. Alex Leach is on lead guitar and Billy Kingsborough fronts the group, which reaches fans with straight ahead rock n’ roll that No Depression says is:
“. . . laced with a vintage elegance that appeals to an ever-changing audience.”
Kingsborough’s second album put two singles “Subtle Lies” and “Low Down” on the charts for six weeks.
The concert is set for June 4 at 7.30 pm, with doors opening at 7.00 pm.
