He has worked in film, television, done voiceovers, and stand-up, and now he's bringing the fun to Rohnert Park.
Gabriel Iglesias, who has the nickname “Fluffy,” is an actor and comedian who is famous for his productions “Hot & Fluffy” and “I'm Not Fat . . . I'm Fluffy.” Iglesias has struggled with his weight his entire life. He has not only lost weight and taken control of his health, he also uses weight as a take off point for many of his comedic routines. Weight and health issues are common with everyone, giving his self-deprecating humor a universal appeal.
So that his work will reach the widest possible audiences, Iglesias keeps his routines clean, and avoids topics that are controversial or divisive, like religion or politics. He says Robin Williams, Eddie Murphy, and Paul Rodriguez are among those comedians who have influenced him.
His work as a voiceover artist can be heard in the 2013 film “Planes,” when he voiced Zed and Ned; and in 2017's “Coco,” when he was the voice of the Clerk, among many others.
In 2012, the City of El Paso, Texas, awarded Iglesias with a key to the city. At the same time, Operation H.O.P.E., a nonprofit organization, gave Iglesias their Beacon of H.O.P.E. Award.
Iglesias will appear at the Ballroom at Graton Resort in Rohnert Park at 8.00 pm on November 20. Brochure printing can provide programs for events like this.
