Pleasanton to welcome Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year takes place a few weeks later than the typical December 31st celebration, and the Pleasanton area has a special activity on its agenda for the day.

Livermore Valley Arts recently announced that it is pleased to be able to host a six-hour celebration that will be dedicated to the cuisine and culture of China. Admission is free, and the function is open to anyone who is interested.

The activity, which will be held at Bankhead Plaza, will offer demonstrations of Chinese music and traditional dance, and martial arts exhibits will take place as well. Everyone can sample the food and do some shopping in the vendor area. While they do this, they can look forward to the year ahead. All ages can be part of the fun as they welcome the Year of the Rabbit.

Atmosphere building decor is one of the tools on offer for event organizers. This service can be provided by a professional banner printing company, which will have both single-use styles as well as ones that may be used over and over again. The price will depend on which style is selected.

This celebration of the Lunar New Year will showcase Chinese food and culture to the community on Saturday, January 21. It will run from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
