Food nonprofit to host fundraising gala at Pleasanton winery

Open Heart Kitchen is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a fundraising gala in Pleasanton this September.

The event has a '90s throwback theme to reflect Open Heart Kitchen’s founding date. It will include dinner, wine, live music, and both live and silent auctions. Proceeds from the auction items and gala tickets will support Open Heart Kitchen’s food and nutrition programs.

Tickets are available on Open Heart Kitchen’s website for $200 per person or $2,000 per table of ten. The ticket price includes a cocktail, passed appetizers, and a three-course dinner with wine. Dinner options include a vegetarian Thai coconut curry, a roasted chicken breast in a mushroom cream sauce, or wine-braised short ribs. Sponsorships are also available. All sponsorship packages include tickets and early entry to the gala.

Open Heart Kitchen is the largest nonprofit serving prepared meals in the Tri-Valley area. It hosts weekday community meals, which do not require reservations or an application process, as well as lunches for seniors. This particular program does require reservations and is designed to improve both social connections and the quality of seniors’ nutrition. Nonprofits often use brochure printing services to provide information about their programs.

The Heart of the Tri-Valley Gala will take place on Friday, September 5 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery in Pleasanton.
