The City of Pleasanton is hosting its annual Hometown Holiday celebration this December.
The two-part event includes a parade and a tree-lighting ceremony. The parade will start at 5:00 pm and travel along Main Street. The tree-lighting will follow at 6:45 pm near Museum on Main and includes a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Pleasanton’s mayor and city council will illuminate the main tree, and there will be music on three stages, located at Lokanta, Museum on Main, and US Bank. A map of the parade route and other key locations is available online.
There are several ways for individuals and businesses to participate in the event. The organizers are looking for sponsors. Pricing, benefits and the registration form are all available on the City of Pleasanton website. Sponsors often give out Promotional Products at this type of community event.
Groups can also sign up to participate in the parade. Entry fees range from $60 to $100, depending on the type of group and whether businesses are owned by Pleasanton residents. Rules for participants – including floats, marching bands, animal entries and walking groups – are available on the city website. Entries should be holiday-themed but should not include Santa or Mrs. Claus to avoid confusion.
The Pleasanton Hometown Holiday Celebration will take place on Saturday, December 6 starting at 5:00 pm, rain or shine.
