Pleasanton to host senior wellness fair

CityServe of the Tri-Valley is hosting a Heart Health & Wellness Expo in Pleasanton this winter.

The expo is a free event for seniors supported by the Alameda County Area Agency on Aging and Behavioral Health Department. It will feature a variety of health-related exhibitors offering onsite services, the ability to sign up for future events and services, and a variety of giveaways.

Attendees can meet with in-home care providers to learn more about their offerings, sign up for free health coaching, and bring along all of their medication so an expert can check for possible conflicts. They can also learn a set of seated exercises and hear about subsidized home improvements to reduce fall risk. Local farmers’ markets will be providing giveaways. Presenters will have information about specific benefits programs for federal and nuclear workers that many seniors might not be aware of. Exhibitors often give out Promotional Products at this type of community event.

CityServe coordinates volunteers, community partners, and service organizations to connect those in need with the right services. Health expo attendees are welcome but not obliged to make a donation, and they can contact CityServe by phone or email for more information.

The Heart Health & Wellness Expo will take place on Wednesday, February 4 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, at CityServe of the Tri-Valley in Pleasanton.
