Pleasanton fairgrounds to host vintage market

The Great Junk Hunt is running its first Bay Area event in Pleasanton this fall.

The Great Junk Hunt is a traveling vintage market that also includes live music, food, and drinks. Vendors will sell a range of vintage and handmade pieces, including upcycled clothing and other items. Vendors often use banner printing services to decorate their booths at this type of event.

Tickets are available online now. First pick admission is $21 per person and includes both market days, starting at 4:00 pm on Friday. Friday early bird tickets are $16, which includes both days, starting at 6:00 pm on Friday. Saturday early bird tickets are $13 and offer admission at 9:00 am, and general admission starts at 10 am for $11 per person. Kids 12 and under can attend for free. With vendors selling one-of-a-kind items, attendees who arrive earlier will have a larger selection.

Linda Albers is a lifelong lover of used pieces and forgotten treasures and ran her own brick-and-mortar antique and vintage shop for years. She started the traveling market that became The Great Junk Hunt in 2009 to allow herself to travel while continuing to resell vintage items.

The Pleasanton Great Junk Hunt Market will take place on Friday, November 14 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and again on Saturday, November 15 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.
