Pleasanton fairground to host pumpkin display

Pumpkins After Dark is coming to the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton this October.

This is a family-friendly Halloween experience that features over 10,000 decorated and illuminated pumpkins, pumpkin carving demonstrations, and live entertainment. Seasonal snacks and treats will be available for purchase, and the space is designed to offer plenty of festive photo spots.

General admission tickets range from $16 to $34 depending on the date. Tickets are for timed entry, with timeslots starting every 15 minutes. VIP tickets start at $49 and include maze admission and one piece of merchandise. VIPs can also enter the Pumpkins After Dark experience at any time during the evening they choose, so they are not restricted to a specific timeslot. Organizers often use Graphic Design Services to create event merchandise.

Parking at the Fairgrounds is $15 per car, which can be paid online in advance or at the gate. Attendees with kids can bring strollers. The event is wheelchair accessible, but wheelchair users should be aware that the terrain is uneven in some areas. Some displays are spooky, but there are no jump scares, and the event is suitable for all ages. Most guests spend one to two hours at the experience, and the last entry is one hour before closing.

Pumpkins After Dark Pleasanton will open next Friday, October 2 and remain open Thursday through Sunday evenings for the rest of October.
