KPFA community radio is hosting its 51st annual benefit craft fair this December.
The fair will take place at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. More than 150 artists and crafters will be selling their work. The vendor line-up includes both well-established craftspeople and promising new artists. Products available will include home goods, ceramic pieces, clothing, children’s toys, woodworking items, fabric pieces, and jewelry. Vendors will be located indoors in Building A. Crafters often use banner printing services to promote their businesses at this type of event.
Vetiver’s DJ Andy Cabic will manage music throughout the fair. Food options will be provided by Spectra, the Fairgrounds’ in-house caterer. Craft fair admission costs $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and those with disabilities, and is free for those under 18. This admission price covers both days of the fair, and proceeds will help fund KPFA radio. The radio station’s programming includes a mix of in-depth reporting, literary discussion, and a wide range of music styles, and it is largely volunteer-run. Fair tickets can be purchased in advance through Eventbrite. The Fairgrounds offers paid parking onsite, and there will be a free shuttle from the Pleasanton BART station.
The craft fair will take place on Saturday, December 3, and Sunday, December 4, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.
