Pleasanton nonprofit to host foot health fair

CityServe of the Tri-Valley is holding a Foot Care and Resource Fair event in Pleasanton this January.

The event is intended to help older adults access podiatry care and learn about the resources available to them. Adults ages 60 and older who have Medicare or MediCal coverage can schedule a free appointment with a podiatrist during the event. Doctors who speak Spanish, Arabic, Farsi, Mandarin, Tagalog, and American Sign Language will be available for those who need or prefer a language other than English. Those interested can call 925-222-2273 and choose option one to make an appointment.

Representatives will also be available to provide information about healthcare resources for seniors. These include home safety evaluations, virtual and in-person therapy sessions, transportation to healthcare appointments, monthly respite care visits and virtual wellness courses. Healthcare organizations often use brochure printing services to provide information about their resources to patients and caregivers.

CityServe is a nonprofit organization that uses a network of other nonprofits, government agencies, schools, and businesses to provide a variety of services to the community. These include vocational support, healthcare, food donations, and financial literacy education.

The January resource fair will take place on Monday, January 29 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Pleasanton Senior Center. Five additional events are scheduled for later in the year.
