Pleasanton museum to host childrens reading activity

Pleasanton’s Museum on Main is hosting another of its monthly Preschool Reading Time events this June.

The event is open to children ages two to five and their parents. Each month has a theme, and the event will begin with reading and then move on to time for crafts, both related to the theme. June’s theme is “Horsing Around,” so attendees can expect a selection of horse-related Books and craft activities. Themes for upcoming months include Summer Vacation, Dinosaur Hunt and Celebrate Community. Museum on Main offers several exhibits relating to Pleasanton’s history, as well as a collection of nearly 10,000 objects from the area during various time periods. The museum also hosts a wide variety of educational events for both adults and children.

Preschool Reading Time is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Pleasanton. It is free to attend and no reservations are required unless bringing a large group. Attendees should be aware of Museum on Main’s COVID policy. The museum asks everyone ages two and older to wear a mask for indoor events, regardless of vaccination status. Museums often use brochure printing services to share information about their collections and mission.

The next Preschool Reading Time event will take place on Wednesday, June 8, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The event recurs on the second Wednesday of each month.
