Pleasanton families who are looking for an activity all their members can enjoy are invited to grab their mountain bikes and head to nearby Sycamore Grove Park for a guided ride with Ranger Heather.
The cyclists will be riding on dirt trails, and time will be spent on the single track portion of the trail that follows the stream found at the park’s southern end. The ride will wind up below Lake Del Valle’s dam end, where there is a bridge. The whole round trip route is approximately seven miles in length, and each person who plans on taking part will be required to wear a helmet for the duration of the ride.
Ranger Heather Day, who is also a naturalist, will serve as a guide for the two-hour event, and she will be able to answer any questions the riders may have about the park, as well as its animals, plants, and more. While people who plan on participating are not required to register ahead of time to do so, according to the organizers, it would be appreciated. Flyers can help to promote an event like this throughout the local area.
This Family Mountain Bike Ride has been planned for Sycamore Grove Park, which can be found at 1051 Wetmore Road in Livermore. Anyone who would like to find out more can do so on its Patch listing.
