Pleasanton fairgrounds to host night market

The Bay Area 626 Night Market is taking place at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton this summer.

The outdoor market will include a large selection of food and product vendors, live music and other performances and an art walk area featuring local visual artists, who will also have their work available for purchase. A vendor list and directory will be available on the 626 Night Market website closer to the event date. Many vendors only accept cash. The 626 Night Market is inspired by the night markets in several Asian cities and named after the San Gabriel Valley area code where the first California event took place in 2012.

Presale tickets are available on Eventbrite now for $5.90 per person, and general admission tickets purchased closer to the weekend will be $6.93. Prices include Eventbrite fees. Admission is free for kids three and under. Parking at the Alameda County Fairgrounds is $15 per vehicle, which must be paid by card. The Fairgrounds staff expect the biggest crowds after 8 pm and recommend arriving early for shorter wait times. Organizers often use flyer printing services to promote their events.

The Bay Area 626 Night Market will be open on Friday, July 25 from 3 pm to 11 pm, Saturday, July 26 from 1 pm to 11 pm and Sunday, July 27 from 1 pm to 11 pm.
