The Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the 53rd annual Community Services Award, with the deadline now little more than a month away.
Anyone in the community, whether they are citizens or members of the Chamber of Commerce, can nominate people. The categories are Business Philanthropy, Excellence in Business, Excellence in Service, Distinguished Individual Service, and the Green Business Award. Nominees do not have to be members of the Chamber, and the person naming them is asked to give a reason why they deserve this award.
The winners of the awards will be announced at an Awards Gala due to be held in March. This event usually consists of a reception where heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served, and there will be an open bar. Last year's gala also included an auction. Tickets were $35 each and it was held at the Firehouse Arts Center.
No doubt these awards are important to many people who live and work in Pleasanton, so it is likely there will be more orders for custom Business Cards leading up to the gala.
