Awards gala will honor area businesses and individuals

The 53rd Community Services Awards from the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce is taking place next month.

This event will present six awards to city individuals and businesses, including Business Philanthropy, Excellence in Business, Excellence in Service, and Green Business. This year the Lifetime Achievement Award will go to Frank Capilla and the Distinguished Individual Service Award will be given to Eleanor Flatley.

Guests of the event will have the opportunity to purchase beer or wine at a cash bar while enjoying heavy passed hors d'oeuvres. There is also set to be a silent auction, where people can bid on items donated by local companies or individuals.

This is an important annual networking event for business leaders in Pleasanton. Many of those who are planning to attend will be investing in a new business card printing order beforehand. There will be plenty of opportunities to talk shop with business peers and they will want to make sure their cards have the most current contact information.

The Community Service Awards will be held at the Firehouse Arts Center on March 23 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Tickets are $35 each and those planning to attend must register by March 18.
