Annual conference to attract experts from around the world

The SPIE Advanced Lithography Conference is taking place next month for five days

Arguably the most important event of its kind in the industry, the conference is aimed at those who work in graphic design or who are employed by printing companies. It will no doubt attract many attendees from all over, including nearby Pleasanton.

There are expected to be more than 500 presentations over the course of the conference, including panel discussions, a plenary session, workshops, and poster sessions. There will also be social events, such as lunches and cocktail receptions.

The welcome reception will be held on February 22 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Tickets are included with conference fees or $45 for guests.

The Advanced Lithography Plenary session will feature Harry J. Levinson, Richard A. Gottscho, and Anthony Yen. Topics of discussion and workshops will include EUV lithography, alternative technologies, and optical microlithography.

The final two days of the conference will be taken up with the Advanced Lithography Exhibition, at which suppliers, manufacturers, design specialist and others will be on hand to provide information on their products and the latest advances in lithography.

The SPIE Advanced Lithography Conference will be held at the San Jose Convention Center from February 21 to 25. Fees are $750 for members or $810 for nonmembers, or $360 and $380 for students. For more information, call 360-676-3290.
