Annual car show returns to Pleasanton

The 30th annual West Coast Nationals car show is taking place next month in Pleasanton. It is hosted by the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association.

There are expected to be over 3,000 vehicles in the show, ranging from classics to customs to trucks. They will be competing for awards in various categories, including the Goodguys America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod Award. Registration until August 12 is $45 for Goodguys members, $55 on the day of the show, or $70 for nonmembers; the fees for the last day of the show are $30 for members and $40 for nonmembers.

There will also be more than 300 vendors selling a variety of car-related merchandise, along with a swap meet and a Cars 4 Sale corral. In addition, there will be a model car show, a mini engine exhibit, a beer garden, a Bonneville Display, and a Kids Zone. Musical entertainment will be courtesy of the Houserockers and the Decades. Guests can also enjoy a Nitro Thunderfest Dragster exhibition.

Many of the Pleasanton vendors may decide to hand out Promotional Products like Pens and fridge magnets to those who stop by their booths.

The West Coast Nationals will be held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds from August 26 to 28. Admission is $17 in advance, or $20 for adults, and $6 for children between the ages of 7 and 12, while Goodguys members will receive a $5 discount. Call 925-838-9876 for the most current information.
