Annual arts festival returns next month

The 31st Art Under the Oaks festival is taking place next month in nearby Livermore.

The festival is set to feature over 40 area artists and musicians, many of whom will be selling a variety of handmade arts and crafts, including prints, paintings, and jewelry. Musicians will be performing throughout the day. In addition, student art from Livermore High School will be available for sale; the artists will also be doing a live painting and there will be a henna demonstration.

Several of Livermore’s winemakers will be on hand, as well as food trucks Savourie Streets and Hiroshi’s Catering. There will be a raffle each hour for a $25 gift card as well as a grand prize drawing.

For the children, there will be a free art project and soap carving for kids’ hosted by the Tri-Valley Woodcarvers. Guests can also purchase plants and flowers from the nursery during the day.

Some of the artists will likely come from nearby communities such as Pleasanton. A few of them may also invest in colorful Banners to draw attention to their booths.

The festival will be held at Alden Lane Nursery in Livermore from July 15 to 16 from 11:00am to 4:00pm on each day. Admission is free of charge. To find out more about the day’s planned activities, call 925-447-0280.
