Palm Desert to set up spring food fest

The Shops at Palm Desert will be holding a festival for foodies in May that features more than 40 vendors.

The Yum! Food Fest is an activity for all ages where guests can try various sweets, drinks, and food from pop-up stands and food trucks. There will even be a bar at the fest for foodies who are old enough to drink alcohol. Attendees can also enjoy DJs and performances from live bands at the activity. As a response to COVID-19, the organizers will place multiple hand sanitizer stations and enforce a deep cleaning schedule for high-touch areas.

Guests can purchase a Very Important Foodie (VIF) ticket for the festival, which includes a complimentary drink ticket at the on-site Yum Bar and all-day access to exclusive shaded seating. Those with VIF admission can also enter the fest earlier than other attendees and receive 15% off their food purchases during the first hour of the event. The food vendors will set up at the Shops of Palm Desert on Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8 from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. General admission will cost $5, and VIF tickets are $40. Seniors, veterans, and first responders get complimentary access to the festival.
