Palm Desert’s McCallum Theatre is hosting Jay Leno for a stand-up comedy show at the beginning of next year.
The former “The Tonight Show” host, who resides in Los Angeles with his wife Mavis, is known as much for his love of cars as he is for his stand-up comedy. Leno boasts the distinction of not only test-driving NASCAR vehicles in his spare time but also being the top-rated late-night talk show host for the majority of his run with “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” which ended in 2014.
In the years since his departure, Leno created a new show featuring his legendary car collection with the Emmy-winning “Jay Leno’s Garage,” which debuted in 2015.
Joining forces with his former “Tonight Show” musical co-host, Kevin Eubanks, Leno now hosts the game show “You Bet Your Life.” It involves strangers forming teams and answering a series of trivia questions for thousands of dollars in prizes.
In addition, Leno has also penned children’s Books, regularly writes guest columns in automotive magazines, and performs more than 100 stand-up comedy shows per year. Shows like this may choose to use graphic design for promotion on social media and in Print.
Jay Leno is performing on Saturday, January 17 at 7:00 pm at the McCallum Theatre at 73000 Fred Waring Drive in Palm Desert.
