Food fest comes to Palm Desert shopping center
The Shops at Palm Desert will host a full weekend of activities with the upcoming Yum Food Fest and Night Market this October.
The family-friendly event lasts for two nights, featuring an array of food options, live music, children’s activities, and more.
Sponsored by the City of Palm Desert, the Yum Food Fest also serves as a benefit fundraiser for Find Food Bank. Though there is a fee for general admission, children 12 and under enter free and there is also free parking at the Northwest Parking Lot next to American Car Wash. Veterans, seniors, and first responders also get free admission. In addition, pets are also allowed to come, so long as they are well behaved.
Presented in an open-air format, the night market is inspired by similar events across the globe, with an emphasis on the intersection of food and culture. Pop-up vendors, food trucks and artisan shops will all be part of the experience.
For children, carnival games, face painting and other activities will be available. In addition, for the 21-and-over crowd, there’s a beer garden and a bar area selling seltzers and mixed drinks.
Festivals like this may choose to use brochure printing for menus, promotional material and event programs.
