A fundraising run/walk will be held in Palm Desert to support ZERO - The End of Prostate Cancer.
The Coachella Valley Run/Walk is a family-friendly fundraising activity that invites the community to stand against prostate cancer. The current objective for this year’s event is to raise at least $67,000. So far, participants have contributed over $43,000 to the organizer’s cause. The run/walk will be held at Civic Center Park and will include other activities like the Kids Superhero Dash for Dad. Part of the event involves giving recognition to cancer survivors and caregivers.
People can support the organization’s cause by joining the fundraiser individually or as a team. The community may also donate online to benefit ZERO - The End of Prostate Cancer. Those interested in assisting the organizers at the run/walk may sign up as volunteers. The available duties for the event include watching the on-site kids’ zone, running water stations, checking in other volunteers, and being a course leader. Volunteers will receive a tee for their contributions.
The event will be held on Sunday, September 25 and will begin at 7:00 am. Those who join the fundraiser must raise at least $50 by the event day to earn a T-shirt. Charitable groups in charge of community fundraising efforts like this may use banner printing to promote their cause to locals.
