Palm Desert to hold conference for Colorado River

The American Water Works Association will organize a conference at the Palm Desert Campus of the University of California.

A Colorado River Roundtable: Solutions for the 21st Century is a program where people can gather and discuss important topics about the Colorado River. The event is for senior management of water utility companies, legal professionals, and senior consulting professionals. There will be several expert panelists at the roundtable, such as Cynthia Campbell, Jim Lochhead, and Chuck Cullom. The event's sponsor is Black & Veatch.

Many discussions will be held throughout the conference on topics like the current state of the Colorado River and how to manage the river's challenges. Attendees can also learn about financial strategies for supporting the river and what people can do to combat increasing water scarcity. Breaks will take place between each presentation, and there will also be a group networking lunch. The conference will end with a networking happy hour.

The seminars on the Colorado River will be held on Thursday, February 29 from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Members of the American Water Works Association can attend the event for $195, and non-members may purchase tickets for $225. People can book rooms for the conference at local hotels like Residence Inn Palm Desert and Omni Rancho Las Palmas. Those who attend similar roundtables may use business card printing to help them connect with other conference-goers.
