The Artists Center at the Galen will host a class where Palm Desert artists can learn about selling their pieces online.
Don’t be Scared! Sell Your Art on the Internet is a program that teaches artists quick strategies to improve how they sell their work online. The course will educate participants about the importance of personal websites and how to use sites to attract more customers. The lesson also discusses various platforms people can use to sell their art, such as Fine Art America, Etsy, and Red Bubble. Take-home resources will be given to students at the event for later reference.
The instructor for the class is Terry Hastings, a talented artist and photographer based in Palm Springs, California. He has won several awards, like Best in Show during the Artists Council Exhibition in 2017 and the Commissioners Award from the Desert Art Center. His work has been displayed at the Steve Janssen Artspace, San Diego Art Institute, and Palm Springs Art Museum.
The lesson will be held on Saturday, November 11th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Members of the Artists Center may pay $50 to attend the class, and non-members can purchase tickets for $58. Students can participate in the lesson for $25. Artists who offer in-person classes similar to this may bring promotional Pens to their events to ensure their students have writing utensils for taking notes.
