Award-winning Broadway star performs in Palm Desert

The McCallum Theater in Palm Desert welcomes Kelli O’Hara next week as she performs some of her greatest Broadway hits to the McCallum Theater in Palm Desert.

O’Hara won the 2015 Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Anna Loenowens in The King and I, and has garnered eight Tony Award nominations overall throughout her career. She is also a two-time Grammy-nominated artist, and was also nominated by the Drama League, Outer Critics, and Olivier Awards.

Reprising the role of Anna for the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, O’Hara also made her West End debut in London and took the show to Tokyo’s Orb Theatre.

O’Hara has also become a breakthrough artist in other media, including performing with the Metropolitan Opera and garnering plenty of rolls in the big and small screens. Some of her movie and TV credits include The Gilded Age, Sex and the City 2, and 13 Reasons Why. She is slated to appear in the upcoming third season of The Gilded Age. This summer, O’Hara is set to star in a new off-Broadway musical co-starring Brian d’Arcy called Days of Wine and Roses.

Musical theater events like these may choose to use banner printing for a marquee.

Kelli O’Hara is performing on Thursday, April 3 at 7:00 pm at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert at 7300 Fred Waring Dr.
