Symposium in Orange discusses sports medicine

A symposium plans to enhance participants’ understanding of injury prevention and treatment, particularly among athletes.

Organized by Hoag Orthopedics, the event will provide educational sessions, networking opportunities, and hands-on workshops led by experts in orthopedics and sports medicine. Participants will have the opportunity to earn seven Continuing Education Units for both athletic trainers and physical therapists.

The symposium will feature a range of presentations addressing key topics in sports medicine. Scheduled sessions will cover emergency plans, spine injuries, concussions, and the risks associated with heat exposure in athletics. Additional sessions will focus on managing asthma, allergies, and functional movement assessments. A physician-led case study segment will allow attendees to analyze real-world medical scenarios, while an interactive panel discussion will provide an opportunity to engage with industry professionals. Details about an event schedule can be shared with flyer printing.

The event will begin with a check-in and breakfast, followed by a full day of programming that concludes with a social reception in the evening. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and the reception will include light appetizers and two drink tickets for attendees over the age of 21.
