Rolling through Orange for the holidays
As the holiday season approaches, so will the annual Christmas Train at Irving Park Railroad. Orange residents and visitors from nearby communities will enjoy the enchantment of Christmas as they ride through the area.
The Christmas train presents a ride at night through the historic Irving Regional Park. The end goal is to meet Santa Claus as the train drops its passengers off at the north Pole. Wish lists from children will take center focus as they share them with Santa.
Children will have the opportunity to have their pictures taken with Santa and participants may take as many pictures as they like, as well. The Santa photos can be purchased at the railroad station.
After the visit with Santa, holiday enthusiasts can jump back on the train and ride through the Tunnel of lights, enjoying Christmas decorations as they return to Santa’s village.
Poster printing is often a task performed for event organizers by local print shops. The posters can be in vibrant colors promoting the activities of the holiday event.
The Christmas Train adventure will begin November 29 through December 23. Tickets are $6 each or a book of 15 is available for $75. Children under the age of two years are free. Hours of operation are 4:00 to 9:00 pm weekdays and 10:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekends.
