What's Happening in Orange, CA…

Orange seeks volunteers for a cause

There will be a sports clinic event taking place in Orange this March, and volunteers are being sought to assist with the event proceedings.

The Freedom Youth Foundation, in collaboration with Orangewood Children and Family Center, welcomes individuals aged 18 and above to join in supporting foster youth.

The volunteers will engage in various activities, including playing, monitoring, coaching, and check-ins based on their preferences. Expertise is not a prerequisite; participants just need to show a desire to aid at-risk youth.

To ensure a seamless volunteering experience, individuals must meet specific requirements, including being 18 or older, receiving a background examination, and completing registration with personal information. Volunteers should have no criminal violations involving children.

Upon registration completion, a representative will provide additional event details. Volunteers will help organize activities such as relays, group lessons, stations focusing on skills like shooting and dribbling, scrimmages, and an awards ceremony. The clinic's purpose is to give foster youth an engaging and fun experience that aids in their athletic development, confidence-building, and socialization with peers.

Banner printing can be useful in decorating for the award aspect at events such as this one.

The date of this event will be Saturday, March 9, from 9:45 am to 12:00 noon. It will be held at Orangewood Children and Family Center at 401 The City Dr. S, Orange.
