Orange gets to grips with media training

There will be an On-Camera Training and News Media Relations training course taking place in Orange this December.

The training program will employ a dynamic and interactive approach, strategically designed to foster effective communication among the media, law enforcement, and the public. Its scope encompasses routine scenarios, as well as disaster management. As part of the instructional approach, video clips showing a spectrum of media interactions will be employed. Guiding this process is Russell Ruffin.

The comprehensive curriculum spans an array of essential areas crucial for effective media engagement. These include crafting impactful speaking points, conducting compelling news conferences and interviews, ensuring coherence in messaging across media platforms, crafting and sharing news releases, converting adverse press to coverage that is favorable, adeptly dealing with difficult questioning, using proper gestures, strategies for real-time engagements on social platforms, and extracting invaluable lessons from real-life incidents.

A training work and guidebook for media relations will be provided during the course. Those who wish to attend can register through the training company's website or by calling 303-470-0716. Those with questions may also get them answered by calling the number.

Print shops can be useful in providing relevant printed materials to participants at events such as this.

The event will take place on December 7 and 8, starting at 7:00 am and ending at 4:00 pm on each day. The location will be at the Sheriff’s Department, 1900 West Katella Avenue, Orange.
