Alt-pop star to visit local space on tour
A popular musician will be appearing at a venue in a town a few short miles from Orange in early October.
Owl City is the stage/artist name of Adam Young, a singer/songwriter and creative force. His songs have continued to provide people with a safe space to escape to, which is something Young is proud of. Naming both Shel Silverstein and John Williams as inspirations, it is no surprise that many tracks from Owl City tell visual stories. “Good Time” featuring Carly Rae Jepsen and “Fireflies” are the songs OC is most likely to be recognized for. A few of his other recordings include “Vanilla Twilight,” “Hello Seattle,” “The Tornado,” “Deer in the Headlights,” and “Sons of Thunder.”
The latest tour is scheduled to have a show in the House of Blues Anaheim. Doors will be opening at 6:30 pm. Fellow performer Augustana will join Owl City as the supporting act. Oftentimes at concerts, musicians will bring along merchandise that has a version of their logo design printed onto it. Tickets are available from Live Nation.
The venue is mainly general admission/standing only, although there is also a small section of ADA seating. Prices are set at $52 for the main section, with one ADA seat being resold for $90 at the time of writing. The date of the event is Wednesday, October 4.
