10K coming up in observance of Earth Day
Celebrate Earth Day 2020 is scheduled in Orange presenting a 10K race taking place at Peters Canyon Regional Park.
The evening run winds through beautiful trails throughout the park. The race will begin in the parking lot of the park and will proceed to Lake View Loop. The race must be completed within two hours, with participants asked to maintain a speed of a mile every 18 minutes. Participants finishing will receive a commemorative t-shirt and a race medal customized for the event. Snacks, along with a raffle, will be part of the final run festivities.
Promotional products are often given out by vendors at races or included in race packets such as pens, keychains, flash drives, or mugs. They can have the logo and graphics of a company printed on them to create brand awareness.
Special awards are created for female and male winners. Groups are divided by age, with the youngest group being from nine years of age and younger.
Check-in for the race will open at 4:00 pm and will be set up in the picnic table area, which is close to the ranger’s office. The race starts promptly at 5:00 pm.
Parking will be available at the Chapman Hills Elementary School. Parking must take place in the designated areas and not in the neighborhoods.
The Orange Earth Day race will take place April 24. At the time of writing, the event is going ahead, but check for updates as it approaches.
